History

P Miller Contractors Pty Ltd commenced operations in the early 1980’s as single grader for hire operation. Business quickly grew and with demand came more equipment and the employment of staff.

By 1986 business had progressed to several machines, several employees and contract works. Works had diversified into drainage, bulk earthworks, subdivisions, road construction and water storages. A second premises was bought and redeveloped to house the expanding business.

The companies portfolio of projects expanded to include all facets of civil construction and bulk earthmoving. Heavy haulage was added along with a progression into securing the companies own resources in quarrying and mining of agricultural products.

In 2000 a third move for the company saw the construction of a purpose built facility to house the expanding business and growing equipment fleet. These new premises offered over 4 times the area under cover and over 5 times the amount of land space available for storage of equipment. Integrated into this new facility was an engineering department enabling construction and repair along with an equipment refurbishing spray booth and sandblasting shed. Both allow complete refurbishing of our plant and outside vendors.

At this point Miller Contractors rebranded its logo to become simply recognised as MILLERS and entered the area of dry plant hire to further utilise our equipment and grow the company. Contracts were expanded into the mining market with the construction of mining infrastructure such as tailings dams, water storages, processing plants and haul roads as well as onsite mining contracts.

Today Millers Civil (Millers Civil Contractors Pty Ltd) are a contractor and plant supplier to major projects across Victoria and interstate. We operate and hire a fleet of 300 items of plant. We service clients in the private sector, local, state and federal governments and mining sectors.

We supply equipment for hire across Victoria, SA and NSW. We strive to grow and be at the forefront of best industry practices. We actively operate and continue to improve our workplaces in the areas safety and quality. We have always and will always commit to utilising the newest and most efficient technologies available. Be this machine control or environmentally better ways of doing business. We strive to build relationships with new clients and maintain existing relationships.
